Hot on the heels of the record-breaking Chinese exhibition,  the curators at The Metropolitan Museum in New York will be showcasing another style icon…..Countess Jacqueline de Ribes aka ‘the last queen of Paris’.

Jacqueline de Ribes: the Art of Style charts her life through 60 haute couture and ready to wear outfits mainly from her own personal archive from 1959 to the present day including such luminati as  Giorgio Armani, Balmain, Bill Blass, Madame Gres, Valentino, Guy Laroche, YSL….the list goes on.     Initially a muse to haute couturiers, she progressed to her own design business, and there are some extraordinary creations from her collections on show too, including some with gorgeous laces and tulles of course

Muse, theatrical impresario, TV producer, interior designer and all-round arbiter of taste and style…this show will dazzle, so it is definitely worth a trip to the Big Apple just to see this Exhibition.
