Don’t you just love the runway shows?
All those gorgeous models, the great hair and makeup and the way the designers constantly reinvent fashion, positively inviting us to throw out our old wardrobe and update it so that we can all be part of the nouveau mode!
How wonderful would that be….just think, everything new, every season.! Dust the rust off the credit card and get shopping now.
But hold on…Prada has turned that all on its head by showing us a simple trick that the French have known for ages….just add a scarf and voila an instant update! However, this time the scarf is not the silk foulard, but a delicate wisp of lace or tulle…and not any old lace or tulle…
but Sophie Hallette lace and tulle.
Every model walking the Prada Spring 2016 show was adorned with a gorgeous voilette – some tucked demurely inside the outfit, others flamboyantly draped over the shoulders – it could have been passé, but in the hands of the Prada team it was pure genius. And make no mistake, if Prada do it…we want it.
Oh do keep at the back! It’s a new trend. You heard it here first.
