Icons are like buses…you wait for ages and then two come along at once!

We wrote recently about the new YSL  Style is Eternal exhibition at the Bowes Museum in NE England, and now, proving that style really IS eternal up pops a wonderful new Audrey Hepburn exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London.

Entitled Portraits of an icon, the exhibition handily uses the 65th anniversary of her appearance as a dancer and chorus girl at the once-acclaimed Ciro’s nightclub (in a building which now houses the offices of the National Portrait Gallery!) to her role as an ambassafor for UNICEF  by showcasing a collection of around 60 images from a roll-call of some of the greatest photographers…Cecil Beaton, Irving Penn, Norman Parkinson, Karsh, Avedon, O’Neill.

It shows a fascinating life of an icon through a lens  and is well worth seeing if you are in London

2nd July – 18th October, 2015.
